Throughout your excursion or holiday you will be looked after by one of our own professional,

DANIEL O’DONNELL IN CONCERT, CARDIFF
WEDNESDAY We leave our home area and make our way
to Cardiff to our hotel with time to freshen up before an
early dinner. We re-join the coach for the very short journey
to St. David’s Hall for this evening’s concert.
THURSDAY After a leisurely breakfast you will have time
to explore Cardiff, the Welsh capital. Maybe visit the castle
and discover 2,000 years of history in the heart of the
city. There are also an abundance of shops to browse and
restaurants in which to enjoy a leisurely lunch, We later
complete our homeward journey.

FRIDAY We travel to Blackpool and our hotel arriving for
dinner and our first evening of live Irish entertainment.
SATURDAY A morning excursion to the seaside resort

afternoon there will be Irish cabaret entertainment in our

SUNDAY A morning free to explore Blackpool and have

HARRY POTTER STUDIO TOUR & LONDON
TUESDAY We make our way to central London with plenty of
time to shop or sightsee in the Capital before making the short
journey to our hotel for dinner.
WEDNESDAY After an early breakfast we make our way to
the Warner Bros Studio for “The Making of Harry Potter” studio
tour. After a short video presentation explore the Great Hall,
Gryffindor Common Room and the famous 9¾ Platform to
name but a few of the many iconic scenes. Discover how the
production team created special effects, make-up artists tricks
and how the costume department overcome challenges. We
later return to the West Country.
A must for any Harry Potter fan! Go behind the scenes through Hogwart’s magical doors
and experience the treasure trove of iconic props, costumes and film sets, saved by the
film crew.

CHRISTMAS IN SWITZERLAND
THURSDAY After an early departure we travel to Dover for
the ferry crossing to Calais. Stopping for dinner en route, we
arrive at our overnight hotel, near Metz.
FRIDAY We continue our journey through France and into
Switzerland to our hotel in Les Diablerets for 4 nights in
time for dinner and time to relax.
SATURDAY We travel across stunning mountain scenery to
the charming town of Gruyeres with its medieval buildings
and Castle which towers majestically above the town, most
famous for its mild cheese, locally produced since 1115.

SUNDAY (Christmas Eve) – Today we make our way to
the shores of Lake Geneva and the cosmopolitan town
of Montreux with its Noel Christmas market and time to
find that last minute Christmas gift and have lunch in a
local café.
MONDAY (Christmas Day) – Merry Christmas everyone!
We start the day with a hearty Swiss buffet breakfast,
before relaxing, opening presents, maybe speaking to family
and friends and enjoying the festivities of the day. After a
traditional turkey Christmas lunch, you may like to take a
stroll around the village before this evening’s Christmas
Gala dinner.
TUESDAY (Boxing Day) – Join us as we visit the elegant
town of Gstaad, nestled between two valleys of the Bernese
Oberland. This chic town has a traffic-free pedestrian area,
together with boutique shops, galleries and cafés.
WEDNESDAY Sadly we leave our hotel and journey back
into France to our overnight hotel near Mttz for evening
dinner.
THURSDAY We continue the journey to Calais for the
return ferry crossing to Dover. We complete our homeward
journey, arriving in the West Country mid – late evening.
The Swiss Alps is a spectacular location for a Christmas
tour. With its wintry scenery and sparkling, snow-
covered mountains, a warm welcome awaits in the
hilltop village of Les Diablerets which lies between Lake
Geneva and Gstaad at an altitude of 1200 metres.

All rooms are ensuite, with TV, hairdryer, and stunning
mountain views. There is a lift and the restaurant
serves delicious food and a hot buffet breakfast. There

ADMISSION Prices do not include admission to attractions or meals unless otherwise marked with a *.
SEATS Please inform our office staff at time of booking if you have any specific needs.
PAYMENT is required within 7 days of booking unless previously agreed with the management of
Blakes Coaches.
CANCELLATION must be notified to our reservations office. If more than 5 days before excursion
date, it will be subject to a 40% cancellation fee of the coach element and 100% of the admission,
ticket or meal as applicable, which we will have purchased in advance. If less than 5 days before
excursion date, the cancellation fee will be 100% of the total paid.

CONCESSIONS Special fares are available on some excursions for senior citizens and children aged
under 14 years. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
DISCOUNTS are available for group bookings of more than 25 seats on same excursion.
NO SMOKING A no smoking policy operates throughout all our coaches.
GENERAL We reserve the right to cancel excursions should insufficient numbers be booked or adverse
weather conditions dictate. We also reserve the right to replace executive coaches with standard if
needed although this will be avoided as far as possible. All departures are operated by Blakes Coaches
Ltd, East Anstey, Tiverton, Devon EX16 9JJ and all passengers are carried in accordance with the
company’s booking conditions and conditions of carriage 1999.
