Dear Sir,
1. Reference your notice dated 02/07/2013, directives were given by President,
Maharashtra State Dental Council in an Extra Ordinary General Body Meeting held on
29th June, 2013 regarding election of One member to the dental council of India
under section 3 (a) of the Dentists Act, 1948. It was mentioned that the last date for
informing any claims and objections after verifying the electoral roll was on or before

July, 2013 by 5 p.m and that claims and objections received after this said date
would not be accepted. Later on, we came to know that a member had gone to court
to get a stay and a case was filed in the Bombay High Court. The case got dismissed
by the Bombay High Court
2. This post is still lying vacant till date. There are 33 dental institutions in the State of
Maharashtra and there is no representation at all from the State to deliberate on
various important issues. This is an important matter which needs to be resolved
urgently since there is no stay order from the Bombay High Court and besides, the
Dentist Act also provides the remedy (protected under the Dentist Act).
Our humble request to you is to please conduct the elections as early as possible so that we
have a strong representation from the State of Maharashtra.
