Dear Parents and Guardians,
This year, Canterbury Public Schools is proud to offer an academic summer enrichment
program to students who have been identified as needing additional support in the areas of
mathematics and/or reading. This engaging program will be designed to give individual
students targeted support in the foundational math and reading skills necessary for success
in meeting grade level standards. The program will also include enrichment activities in
addition to the focus on reading and math. Funding for this program has been made
possible through federal grants in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Students were
initially identified for this additional support based on local assessment scores and
classroom performance.
We believe your child would greatly benefit from this additional support. The program will
run part-day for four weeks, Tuesday through Thursday.
Overview:
● Start date: Tuesday, July 6, 2021
● End date: Thursday, July 29, 2021
● Weekly: Tuesday – Thursday from 9:00AM-Noon (times may be slightly
adjusted based on enrollment
● Location: Canterbury Elementary School
● Transportation is available
Canterbury Public Schools is committed to supporting the needs of all children. We look
forward to partnering with you to ensure your child has every opportunity to be successful
in meeting their academic goals. Please complete the attached registration form and
return it to school by June 2, 2021. We will contact you to confirm transportation the
