Worked to improve the mental health and life experiences of persons existing in the Starkville, MS area
and beyond under the faculty mentorship of Dr. Joan Looby
Founding executive board member of the Mississippi State University Counselors for Social
Justice Chapter. Our chapter is apart of the larger American Counseling Association Counselors
for Social Justice organization.
Hosted the Counselors for Social Justice Symposium in order to bring together counselors and
helping professionals from across the nation, through a virtual, informative, and interactive two
day conference. The symposium was attended by renown counselors, helping professionals, and
community members alike, reaching over 200 participants.
Worked with victims of the Mississippi Ice Raids to provide better life experiences following the
2019 Ice Raids which occurred in Morton, MS and which apprehended 680 Latinx persons,
believed to be illegally documented immigrant workers. Our organization worked directly with
the families of the raids, whom had been impacted by separation and a lack of safety.

across Washington State to come to WSU for one weekend, where they are met with the
scholarship support and mentorship.
Responsible for recruiting 180 high school students who identify as underrepresented for a
weekend colligate conference.
Facilitated executive duties, which further solidified my desire to work with and serve
underrepresented students, in hopes that attendees become scholars and researchers in the
future.

Place. Rosario’s is a safe storage unit, that houses diapers, wipes, feminine hygiene products
and food.
