Ever served on active duty in the United States Armed Forces?

Effective May 7, 2025, you will need to present a REAL ID-compliant driver license, nondriver ID or permit (or other acceptable

identication document, i.e., passport) to board domestic ights and access certain federal facilities, including military bases and

nuclear power plants. At the time of renewal you must choose to either retain a non REAL ID-compliant card or request a REAL ID-

compliant card. If your current driver or nondriver ID has a gold star in the upper right hand corner, your card is REAL ID-compliant.

Resident Card. For renewal of non REAL ID or REAL ID-compliant card present your current valid, unexpired REAL ID-

compliant driver or nondriver ID or permit with gold star marking or current valid non REAL ID driver or nondriver ID or permit

(no marking or marked as NOT FOR REAL ID PURPOSES) in addition to an acceptable lawful status verification document.

Social Security Card (signed, not laminated) or may be provided verbally if previous verification on record.

Driver License Renewal Postcard, unexpired Missouri driver license, nondriver ID or permit (REAL ID renewal only) or Utility Bill. CDL

and all REAL ID-compliant card applicants must present TWO separate documents from two different sources. If mailing address

is different from residence, one document verifying full mailing address is required. Eligible documents and acceptance timeframes may

Certified Marriage License or Certified Court Order If your current name is different than the name on your identity and

lawful status document a name change document must be submitted to tie current and former name(s). More than one

document may be required.

You must present valid, original documents to verify each of the following categories when applying for renewal of a non REAL ID-compliant

card, rst time REAL ID-compliant card, or if renewing a previously issued REAL ID-compliant card (gold star in upper right corner ).

All documents presented for any REAL ID-compliant card application will be scanned and retained for a minimum of ten years.
