MATERIALS FOR THE BOOKMARK BASE

Origami paper (or any square sheet of paper) in any size

Optional materials for decoration:

• Paper in dierent colors

• Scissors

• Glue or tape

• Washi tape and stickers

• Other materials for the design you have in mind (remember, this is a bookmark so at mate-

rials work best)

STEPS FOR THE BOOKMARK BASE

1. Take your square piece of paper and position it in a

diamond shape.

2. Fold it down so that it creates a triangle.

3. Take a corner and fold it down.

4. Do the same for the opposite corner. You should

have a smaller diamond shape now.

5. Unfold both aps. Now it should look like the trian-

gle from step 2.

6. Take one layer of the triangle tip and fold it up.

7. Refold one ap from step 3. Tuck the ap under the

pocket beneath it.

8. Do the same with the other ap. Fold down and tuck

it under the pocket beneath it.

The base for your origami bookmark is complete.
